Our founder Larry Jergens began his painting career shortly after high school, joining Painters Local 300 as an apprentice in 1953. He worked for his father’s company until 1966 when he founded LC Jergens Painting Company. Larry built the company on the idea that honesty and quality craftsmanship are the keys to success. Although Larry recently passed the role of President to his son Tim, he continues to be actively involved as Vice President and as a commercial estimator. His extensive knowledge of products and the industry give Larry the distinction of being one of the most respected leaders in the painting community.
Our Company President Tim Jergens began his painting career at age fourteen, helping his father during summer vacations. He achieved journey-level status in 1980, and also studied business at Seattle University. During his many years of painting, Tim worked for other paint companies and ran his own business. In 1985, he brought his painting and business savvy back to LC Jergens. When we opened our finish shop in 1992, Tim took charge of shop design and organized the operational procedures, developing a highly technical, efficient and environmentally sound finishing system. Tim takes great pride in the high quality finishes produced in the shop.
